About Ivan Šoštarić

Ivan is a founding partner of Stijačić Šoštarić. His practice covers corporate, commercial and employment law, with most of his work in M&A, investments and finance.

During his career, Ivan has advised on a large number of transactions across a wide variety of industries, including IT, healthcare, energy, gaming and logistics. This understanding of how each sector works, both legally and commercially, allows him to guide complex investment projects from structuring through to closing.

Ivan advises on startup investments, joint ventures and shareholder arrangements. He regularly works with private equity and venture capital funds on their investments and acquisitions, as well as with their portfolio companies.

In banking and finance, he advises on acquisition and project finance, loan documentation and security packages. He also supports clients in heavily regulated sectors, including insurance, financial services, healthcare and gaming, on regulatory requirements, corporate governance and compliance.

In employment matters, Ivan advises on all aspects of the employment relationship, with particular experience in management agreements for board members and senior executives, contested dismissals and senior executive exits.

Ivan's practice draws on international experience that began in 2015, when he trained at Browne & Jacobson LLP in London.
