Barbara is Counsel at Stijačić Šoštarić. With more than 10 years of experience, she advises international and domestic clients on commercial, corporate and employment law, with a focus on M&A and contracts.

Barbara’s M&A practice spans a broad range of sectors, including IT, gaming, healthcare and consumer health, manufacturing and real estate. She regularly leads due diligence teams in takeovers and acts for founders and strategic buyers on acquisitions, disposals and investments, from due diligence through to signing and closing.

Barbara’s expertise is particularly recognised in the IT sector. She advises technology companies on corporate and commercial matters, from software development to the digital transformation of the banking sector. In insurance, she has advised on the technology-driven shift in the industry, mapping the legal and regulatory framework for introducing new digital insurance models to the Croatian market. In the media sector, Barbara acts for the regional licensee of one of the world’s leading publishers, advising on its publishing business across the region. She also has a strong background in the consumer goods and retail sectors, including negotiating distribution agreements for cross-border expansion.

In employment law, Barbara acts for domestic and international employers across the full range of employment matters, including collective redundancies.
